The COVID-19 outbreak has caused the world to standstill with everyone in self isolation. There’s no mode of communication to interact with celebrities rather than social media. Amidst the chaos, people are taking to Twitter to ask questions and are receiving responses from celebs as well. Recently, Brad Hogg answered a question about MS Dhoni on Twitter.
Brad Hogg, the former Australia spinner, feels MS Dhoni has “one more burst” left in him in international cricket.
Lately, a 49 year old user on Twitter, tweeted “What u think, If IPL 2020 cancelled, Dhoni should retire from International cricket,”.
“It’s been an entertaining career, let’s enjoy what he has done!” he added.
“I feel he may have one more burst in the next 2 years for India,” Hogg signed off.
Hogg’s response to the Twitter user who asked him if he feels the former India captain should retire if this year’s season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is cancelled, was he thinks Dhoni won’t announce his retirement this sooner. He further said that the wicketkeeper-batsman seems calm about things and complimented him on an “entertaining career”.
MS Dhoni has lately not been seen on-field since the 2019 World Cup semi-finals, where India lost to New Zealand. Thereafter, he took a sabbatical and got himself trained with the Indian army.
However, it was expected to see him comeback and join the IPL 2020 but unfortunately, there is a high chance the tournament will move forward in 2021 due to the global pandemic caused due to COVID – 19.
It’s Hogg who is not the only one who believes Dhoni is still capable enough to play for the Indian Team. Mr. Keshav Ranjan Banerjee, his childhood coach, has the same say and feels that MS Dhoni will definitely be a part of the T20 World Cup squad.
