PM Narendra Modi Heaps Praise on Suresh Raina for his Rs 52 lakh Donation to Fight COVID-19

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has requeted the citizens of India to contribute in the PM’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-CARES) fund after announcing the 21-days lockdown due to the coronavirus. PM-CARES fund has the objective of dealing with emergency situation like the Coronavirus. While Narendra Modi is the chairman of this trust, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman are the members of this trust.

After the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s request, various organisation and the celebrities came forward to support their country to fight COVID-19. The key batsman of the Indian team and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has promised to donate Rs. 52 lakh to fight against the coronavirus, which is very dangerous to the humans.

The left-handed batsman from Uttar Pradesh has donated Rs. 31 lakh to PM-CARES Fund and the remaining Rs. 21 lakh to the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. Suresh Raina has also urged his fans and followers to help their country to fight the pandemic disease.

The Prime Minister of India, Narender Modi has heaped praise on the left-handed cricketer, who came forward to donate in the fund. The PM Modi did not waste his time to appreciate Suresh Raina’s effort on his twitter handle.

PM Modi wrote,”That’s a brilliant fifty.”

There are several cricketers who have donated in the fund prior to the left-handed cricketer, Suresh Raina. The legendary cricketer of the Indian team, Sachin Tendulkar has promised to donate Rs. 50 lakh to help India fight COVID-19. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) came forward and announced to pledge Rs. 51 crore to the PM-CARES fund.
